While Stereo affects the entire stereo image of your track, you can be even more precise by choosing Mid or Side mode.
Mid ducks only the center of your track, making space for kick, bass or vocals.
Side mode complements Mid, touching everything that makes your track wide.

Broad vs. surgical
By adjusting the Contrast, you can duck broadly at low values or target only the most dominant frequencies at high ones.

Use Low and High Cut to limit the frequency range SSD works on. Everything outside it is left untouched.
